Can't sail without wind?
hello friends and fans,
i hope you all had a great 4th of july weekend=2E my boyfriend and i bought a 1971 sunfish sailboat on craig's
list=2E very excited to use it, we took it to the lake even though the leaves on the trees were stiller than a
painting=2E we learned our first two important nautical lessons - 'you cant sail whenever you want to'
and 'how to paddle'=2E the boat almost fell off the trailer on the way home=2E why am i telling you this=2E
i don't know=2E my manager says my fans care about what's going on with me (and i like to ramble)=2E
maybe he means musically in which case, forget about the boat, i am about to go on tour with GLENN PHILLIPS of 'toad the wet sprocket' which was THE sound track of my first college romance=2E
my first boyfriend and i listened to "windmills" over and over=2E ah=2E=2E theme songs to life=2E=2E=2E
oh, i just thought of some real news!thanks to the success of the Bank of America TV commercial which used my song "merry-go-round", the sheet music is now available to purchase as a download here, (lyrics, tabs, chords are included): http://www=2Esheetmusicdirect=2Eus/search/productDetail=2Edo?itemId=3D1000064326 that's what this email is actually about=2E
now for more filler:i just returned from a tour of the southwest with the very talented anais mitchell=2E
we saw a cow in kansas with two functioning buttholes which pretty much eclipsed anything else that
happened on the tour when not on the stage=2E thank you for coming to our shows=2E
lastly, i may have already mentioned this but, i have released a disc called "SNAPSHOTS"
which is NOT NEW material, rather it is a compilation of the best of my first 2 cds
("Little peppermints" and "Boys, flowers, miles") PLUS 3 new tracks=2E
okay, i'll let you know when i think of anything really newsworthy=2E
have a wonderful summer!!!!
yours, antje
